Dear King School Families,
Welcome to King Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year! I hope you had a great Summer Vacation! I am so happy that you are a part of our amazing learning community. Our mission at King Elementary is to engage minds, inspire hears and empower futures for our students.
This next year, we will be continuing to focus on helping our students work together as a community of learners by encouraging them to work collaboratively, be problem solvers and be reflective learners inside and outside the classroom. We hope that parents can assist us in helping their child be independent problem solvers. At King Elementary, students are taught and expected to use the Three Bs: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.
Over the last few years, we have worked on expanding the Sciences, the Arts, AVID and career exploration. We are also excited about the learning opportunities provided in our after-school program. Students not only get tutoring support but many enrichment activities including the opportunity to participate in intramural sports.
This fencing project was completed this summer to better secure the campus. Additional school improvement projects include new cameras and new PA system for the cafeteria.
It is a privilege to serve as the principal of King Elementary for over 20 years. We have many wonderful teachers, students and staff. Let’s make it a great school year at Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School! Please save August 4th for Back to School Night, 5:00-6:30. Let’s go Lions!
